Alexis Michelle Shaw and Jonathan David White were married March 9 at Brooklyn Winery. Rabbi Joshua Stanton officiated.
Ms. Shaw, 28, is an assigning news editor in Manhattan for Yahoo Entertainment and Lifestyle. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California, from which she also received a master’s degree in communication management.
She is the daughter of Janet J. Shaw and Arthur I. Shaw of Roslyn, N.Y. The bride’s father is a lawyer in private practice in Manhattan. The bride’s mother is an executive vice president in Manhattan of Prime Global, a medical communications business based in Knutsford, England.
Mr. White, 29, is a litigation associate at Cahill Gordon & Reindel, a law firm in Manhattan. He graduated from Cornell, from which he also received a law degree, cum laude.
He is a son Dr. Bradley White of Roslyn, N.Y., and the late of Barbara White. The groom’s father is an orthopedic medicolegal independent contractor for UMC Medical in White Plains. The groom’s mother was a stay-at-home parent.
The couple, who grew up in Roslyn, began dating in 2007 shortly after the bride asked the groom to junior prom.
