Alexis Valerie Neisser and Jeremy Micah Greenhouse were married Sept. 8. Associate Judge Neil H. Cohen of the Cook County Circuit Court officiated at Gallery 1028, an events space in Chicago.
Ms. Neisser, 28, is an account manager in Chicago for Blue State Digital, a digital strategy and technology agency. She graduated from Skidmore College.
She is the daughter of Winifred White Neisser and Kenneth E. Neisser of Los Angeles. The bride’s father retired in June as a history teacher at the Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles. Her mother retired as the senior vice president for movies and mini-series in the television division of Sony Pictures, in Los Angeles.
Mr. Greenhouse, 29, works for the Chicago Cubs as the assistant director for research and development. He graduated from Tufts.
He is the son of Miriam Reinharth and Steven Greenhouse of New York. His mother is the public engagement manager at the Community Service Society of New York, an organization in New York that provides services to the poor. His father retired as a reporter for The New York Times.
The couple met in 2014 through the dating app Tinder, and had their first date in Chicago at a coffee shop.
