Alexandra Wolf Stevenson and Henry Osborne Havemeyer Frelinghuysen II were married July 20 in Southampton, N.Y. The Rev. W. Patrick Edwards, an Episcopal priest, performed the ceremony at St. Andrew’s Dune Church.
Mrs. Frelinghuysen, 33, is a middle-school language arts teacher at the Windward School, a private school in White Plains for children with language-learning disabilities. She graduated from Skidmore College and received a master’s degree in secondary English education from Columbia.
She is a daughter of Polly Stevenson and Roy Stevenson of Southampton, N.Y. The bride’s parents own Stevenson’s Toys & Games, which has stores in Southampton and in East Hampton, N.Y.
Mr. Frelinghuysen, 32, is the operations manager at the West Islip, N.Y., store of West Marine, a boating supplies, gear and clothing chain. He graduated from Princeton.
He is a son of Alice Cooney Frelinghuysen and George L.K. Frelinghuysen of New York. The groom’s mother is the Anthony W. and Lulu C. Wang Curator of American Decorative Arts at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. His father is a portfolio manager at Carl H. Pforzheimer & Company, an asset manager in New York.
The couple met in 2002 at St. Paul’s School, a boarding school in Concord, N.H., when she was a sophomore and he was a freshman, and reconnected in 2011 when she spotted him with a group of St. Paul’s alumni who were out together at Dorrian’s Red Hand, a bar and restaurant in New York.
