Alexandra Maria Napier and Anthony Thomas Freeman were married Sept. 14 at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cathedral in Rochester. Bishop Matthew H. Clark, bishop emeritus of the Diocese of Rochester, performed the ceremony.
Mrs. Freeman, 30, is an account director at Mcgarrybowen, an advertising agency in New York. She graduated cum laude from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
She is a daughter of Sharon D. Napier and Robert A. Napier of Rochester. The bride’s father is a partner in Napier & Napier, a criminal defense law firm in Rochester. Her mother is the chief executive of Partners & Napier, a Rochester advertising agency.
Mr. Freeman, 29, is an assistant district attorney in a trial bureau in the New York District Attorney’s Office. He graduated cum laude from Georgetown. He received a law degree from Fordham.
He is the son of Linda S. Freeman and Thomas F. Freeman of the Villages, Fla. The groom’s mother retired as a special agent for terrorism and foreign counterintelligence in the New York office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. His father retired as the patrol bureau commander in the Police Department of Redondo Beach, Calif., and was then the assistant chief executive for administration at the New York State Liquor Authority, in New York.
The couple met in February 2016 through the League, a dating app, and had their first date at a Hell’s Kitchen bar about a week later.
