Alexandra Paige Lewisohn and Shawn Robert Telvi are to be married March 3 at their apartment in Manhattan by Rabbi Michael A. White. On May 26, Rabbi Meir Triebitz, the groom’s uncle, is to lead the couple in a ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel in Florence, Italy.
The bride, 28, is a speech language pathologist at Public School 126 in Manhattan. She graduated from the University of Michigan and received a master’s degree in communicative sciences and disorders from N.Y.U.
She is the daughter of Jodie Lewisohn and Clifford H. Lewisohn of Roslyn, N.Y. The bride’s father is a title insurance consultant in New York and New Jersey. He is on the Village of East Hills Architectural Review Board in Nassau County, N.Y. Her mother is the executive director of Erealty Title Agency in Greenvale, N.Y.
The groom, 29, works in Brooklyn as the assistant to the executive producer of the Showtime television series “Ray Donovan,” a drama about a Hollywood fixer. He graduated from Indiana University.
He is a son of Cheryl S. Telvi and Isaac Telvi of Delray Beach, Fla. The groom’s father is the executive vice president of United Envelope, a manufacturer in Ridgefield, N.J. He is based in Delray Beach, and travels to clients around the country.
The couple grew up 10 miles apart — he in Dix Hills, N.Y., and she in Rosyln. They met in 2011 at nightclub in Florence during their spring semester abroad, and together they soon enjoyed gelato and pasta, and exploring Italy and nearby countries.
