Making a mask immediately after dyeing
Of course, dyed hair requires special care (so that the hair does not lose its shade and shine longer), but this does not mean that the mask should be made immediately after the procedure – you will actually wash off the color this way. Wait for a day.
Keeping the mask too long on your hair
The mask does not need to be kept on the hair longer than the recommended time because all the active substances in the masks are absorbed only during the first 15 minutes. Keeping the product on your head any longer makes no sense – in fact, there is no real effect in doing so. For reference: the same is true about the air conditioner.
Applying the mask on too wet hair
If you apply the composition right after the shower, wipe the hair thoroughly and remove excess moisture with a towel. Otherwise, all the useful substances from the mask will literally be drained from the hair.
Using the wrong comb
To distribute the mask over all strands, it is better to use a comb. Take the one with wide rather than narrow teeth, so as not to harm your hair. In salons, a brush is often used, like the one for dyeing.
Not wearing a cap
The composition will work best if you wear a special shower cap or at least wrap a towel around your head. Especially if you have damaged curls that you want to restore in this way. In warmth, substances work more actively and begin to be absorbed into the hair.
Replace the mask with air conditioning
Air conditioning and a hair mask are complementary, but not mutually exclusive, they have different goals. The mask is intended for more serious work, it works deeper than conditioners and balms, so the aesthetic effect may not be noticed immediately. But the conditioner tidies the tangled hair, makes it more obedient and less fluffy. That is, the result is visible after the first application.
In order to strengthen the hair, use a mask, so that the hair is silky to the touch. After the mask, apply a little conditioner on the hair, and it will smooth the surface of the hair.
