Whether tending to aging parents or friends battling illness, caretakers repeatedly give their time and energy to others. But at what cost to themselves? On this week’s Modern Love podcast, the actress Nazanin Boniadi reads “A Sister’s Comfort, if Not a Cure,” an essay that explores the limits of care.
Its author, Tara Ebrahimi, is the nonfiction editor of the Pacifica Literary Review. Her writing focuses on mental illness, family and Persian heritage.
Ms. Boniadi played the C.I.A. analyst Fara Sherazi on “Homeland.” She appears in the thriller “Hotel Mumbai,” in theaters now. Stay tuned after the reading to hear more from her, Ms. Ebrahimi and the Modern Love editor Daniel Jones.
